Located close to the River Center of St. Paul, the Downtowner provides unique and savory eats... At the Downtowner, their meats and vegetables are prepared over an oak-wood burning grill, following ancient Persian cooking traditions. The oak wood imbues the food with a mouth-watering subtle smoke that enhances the flavor of everything from savory boneless leg of lamb to center cut swordfish and sirloin steaks. Working in concert with the grill is their oak-wood burning oven, or tannur. Burning at a 500 degree temperature, the oven cooks homemade pizzas and flat-bread to perfection and makes the artichoke dip an award winning dish.
